Okay, Bob.. Tonight.. And could you get that third dormer lit, for Pete's sake!!! In the meantime, I'm going to educate myself on how to not have the lights so blown out.

ask him to turn on the lights between 4 and 4:30.

Last night's attempt was taken with my Nikon, but this picture was taken with the Sigma DP2. It's a very nice camera-click the name if you're interested in knowing more.

Anyone care to share where the lights in every window tradition comes from?

When I was a child, the light was placed in the window to show there was room for a weary traveler. It hearkened back to the "No room in the inn" when Mary and Joseph found only a stable where Mary finally gave birth.
I know of some that place the candle in the window when a member is in the service. It remains there until the family member is welcomed home.

ha ha..ghetto! You are too funny!! Yeah the x10 module that controls that light doesnt like to switch on (no problem switching it off), so i need to change it out......

What is that-1 controller for the entire house? I bought an X10 camera once that came with a dexterous multi-axis base that had a remote control. Their stuff is pretty cutting-edge.

Actually, I"m pretty proud of the way the Sigma DP2 captured the mansion, and I hope it lives on in perpetuity long after I'm gone... The 2010 Orange-Whitney Mansion Christmas pic...
